Ferlic Represents 295 Navajo Nation members suing EPA over Gold King Mine spill

Kate Ferlic is representing 295 Navajo Nation ranchers and farmers suing the Environmental Protective Agency over the 2015 Gold King Mine spill that released over 3 million gallons of toxic waste water and 352 tons of heavy metals into the Animas and San Juan Rivers. The Navajo Nation members were severely economically impacted due to the contaminated water. Farmers’ suffered widespread crop loss and ranchers were forced to sell livestock at a loss. The Navajo Nation farmers and ranchers are asking for $75 million due to the extreme impact the environmental disaster had on their land.
