Nicholas A. Govea

Nick Govea is an attorney who practices in the areas of water law and natural resources, business transactions, real estate law, labor and employment matters, and complex civil litigation. Prior to joining Egolf + Ferlic + Martinez + Harwood, Nick represented school districts, governmental entities, and businesses across New Mexico at a distinguished defense firm in Santa Fe and was a frequent presenter at the New Mexico School Board Associations' Annual Convention and Board Member Institute.

Nick is a graduate of Boston University and earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola New Orleans College of Law. While in law school, Nick was a student practitioner in Loyola's Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic & Center for Social Justice where he represented minority workers in litigation involving wage theft, employee/contractor disputes, and fraud claims. Prior to law school, Nick was a governmental affairs liaison for a state agency, and a high school Social Sciences teacher. Originally from El Paso, Texas, Nick is proud to call Santa Fe home, where he lives with his wife, son, and two dogs.
